“I think VR is much more radical than cinema. Cinema is frame, cinema is length of the lens, cinema is editing, the position of images that create time and space. I would ask myself what VR demands from me as a director. It demands much more than cinema. Cinema in a way is much more benign, more passive. There is nothing passive about VR.”

Sustainable Productivity: The Virtual & Augmented Reality Exhibition on the Environment

To restrict global warming, global GHG emissions need to be reduced by ~ 50%. However, the planet will likely add ~2-3 Billion people over the next 30 years and emissions could grow by 30%. Supporting a growing population while reducing emissions is the Sustainable Productivity challenge. This project leverages new technologies like VR & AR to educate and energize our youth to drive the required behavioral changes that can result in 80-100 Million tons of GHG emissions reductions per year just in the United States.
